We’ve just been notified that South Sound Wedding & Event magazine has featured one of our weddings on their web site.
The wedding was shot on Friday, March 13th 2009 and it was one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever gotten to shoot. From the bouquet with no flowers, to the bridal party with no women it was nonstop fun with a great cast of characters. To see the article, just click HERE. The wedding was also featured on Offbeat Bride a few months ago. See that article HERE.
“Tiffany’s advice to future brides, “Wedding planning can be as easy or as stressful as you make it. I read, ‘your wedding is not a competition,’ and that really helped me. I didn’t need to outdo anyone to make my wedding special.”
“Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes and celebrates excellence in quality and service within the wedding industry, as determined by over 500,000 newlyweds. Being a recipient of this award means you are in the top 5 percent of all wedding professionals in the WeddingWire Community!”
It is very exciting for us to have been awarded Wedding Wire’s Bride’s Choice Award 2 years in a row. The 2009 award came after our first year of officially being in the wedding business. We could take full credit for this award, but in truth it would not have been possible without all of the amazing couples we got to photograph! I’d like to thank all of our amazing couples.

While I’ve shot a lot of weddings I’d never claim that they all start looking alike, BUT from time to time one of them will really stand out from the rest. The reasons vary, it could be a couple you really build a bond with, a really cool location or sometimes it is just the day they decide to get married on.
Yesterday, Friday the 13th, I shot a wedding that stood out for all of those reasons. The couple was very friendly and the bride treated me more like a member of the family than the hired photographer, there was a very interesting cast of characters and NO BRIDESMAIDS! Yes, that’s correct, the bride had 3 guys as bridesmaids, so I guess there were bridesmaids, but no women serving in those rolls. The bride had some music I’d never heard played at a wedding and walked down the aisle to “Going to the chapel”. Even after all the weddings we’ve shot it was a day filled with firsts and I’ll never forget it.
I’ve talked about All That Shimmers in previous posts and I really can’t say enough good things about the shop or Karen, the owner. I went to visit her on Sunday after meeting with a client in Lakewood and found out that she is having a really big sale on some discontinued wedding dresses. How big of a sale?
MARCH 19th 7-9pm ONLY
HUGE SALE on all discontinued gowns, Many were over $1,000 all are now $299. Cash and Carry. You MUST make an appointment for this event.

We have been working on our first print ad that we are planning on placing in South Sound Wedding & Event magazine.
Who’s that girl?
Autumn is a dream bride and we just loved working with her. She was ready to have a good day no matter what curve ball she was thrown. She is so graceful, authentic and charming – her personality really comes through in her photos. We are pleased to have her represent our company!

I sat in front of my computer tonight looking at a bunch of my favorite wedding photos from this last summer and I had a heck of a time deciding which to post. While I’m not sure this is my favorite of the summer, there is something I really love about it. I find it very peaceful and hopeful and so calm, even though there were some 500 people at the wedding.
