Living in the Pacific Northwest is amazing and it is a special treat when our couples want to get out and do a session somewhere that highlights just how amazing it is here. Sure, you can do engagement photos at the Pt. Defiance Rose Garden and stand in line for spots with 100 other couples on a sunny (maybe) spring day or you can take a hike… go climb a mountain… do something AMAZING! When Jamie & Brian told me they wanted to do photos on Mt Rainier I was beyond thrilled. Sure, it was fall and our normally unpredictable weather is even more unpredictable, but they just considered it all part of the experience. We really had a great time spending the day driving around to different locations.
I’ve always really loved taking pictures of people, ever since I was in High School on the yearbook & newspaper staff and that’s continued today. Even after 17 years in business the thing I love to do when I have spare time is to head out into nature to hike and take photos and living in the Pacific Northwest we get a fair number of people that want to take their engagement photos up on Mt Rainier and some other amazing locations. If you’re looking for engagement photos, senior portraits, family photos or just want to get out and get some cool photos just for fun get in touch and we can help make that happen!
During a recent hike on Mt Rainier I ran into a group of women that asked me to take a group photo of them. They hadn’t planned on doing a serious hike, but they liked my photo of them they ended up tagging along with me and we kept taking photos and it got me thinking that it would be a lot of fun to combine a photography lesson and a hike, so if you have a camera you’d like to learn how to use a little better and love nature we can combine the two for private or small group photography lessons. I’ve known Tricia for a long time, since she just before she had her first baby, for this maternity (her 4th) she joined forces with her sister and we headed out toward Roslyn(From Northern Exposure fame) and Ellensburg for some cool settings. We had a great day and here are a few of their photos.
Come on down to Ubiquitous Journey with me on the 25th of March at 7pm. Why? Robyn has been featuring some of my photographs in her shop and has asked me to come and give a talk about my work and I’d love it if I weren’t the only one there and I promise to try not to ramble on and on and fly off on mad tangents.
Ubiquitous Journey is a one of a kind shop in Puyallup, selling all manner of products from a wide selection of organic teas, herbs, spices, clothing (organic cotton), bath products and artwork done by local artists. Stop in and share a cup of tea with Robyn, the owner and have a look around.
