Some of our favorite photos taken at a recent wedding at Heartland Ranch in Graham, WA. We love this venue, not just because of the great locations for photos, but the friendly staff really go out of their way to help out.
The end of the school year is upon us and we’re getting a rush of seniors wanting photos. While it is getting late in the year to book packages (we do still have some time slots open) it is not too early for all the juniors to start thinking about their senior portraits.
Firstlight Photography is looking for 6 Puyallup seniors that would like to earn free senior portraits for the 2011/2012 school year and help represent Firstlight at their schools. We will be selecting one boy and one girl from Puyallup, Rogers & Emerald Ridge. All you need to do to be considered is send us an e-mail with your contact information and tell us about yourself and why we should pick you. We’ll be taking submissions throughout summer and will make our decision before the start of the school year. More details will be posted to our Facebook page, so make sure to check in and press the “like” button while you’re there.
Senior $teals – 1/2 off package
Firstlight Photography has been working with more and more teens that are paying for their own senior portraits so we decided to do a huge promo.
Reserve your shoot by April 30, 2010 and for $150 you will get the following:
- 1 1/2 hours of photography
- Online gallery
- DVD with full resolution and facebook/myspace sized images with retouched images and copyright release
- $75 in print credits (good for standard or premium prints only)
- 5 retouched images (i.e. blemish removal, teeth whitening, effects, texture overlay)
- Pierce County locations don’t incur a travel fee
Here’s How You Can Save Even More…
Bring a friend for an additional $50. We’ll spend 1 1/2 hours total but your friend gets all of the benefits listed above. Buddy shoots are wonderful because having your best friend along puts you at ease.
As time permits, we can hit a few of your favorite locations for shots. Wardrobe changes are permitted – we don’t limit this. It is your shoot! All you need is a ride to your location(s) of choice. We recommend that seniors bring a parent or older sibling along for the shoot. Of course friends are welcome too.
For more info or questions just give us a call @ 253.335.7958 and ask for Kier or Mitzi.
know what you are getting
One of the most important things you can do before you hire your wedding photographer is to ask about his post production experience. What are you looking for? If you don’t know, make sure you ask lots of questions when you review portfolios. What comes with your package? Make sure you know before you sign your contract.
When shooting candids the intent is to capture the fleeting moment – which means you sometimes get the wall outlet and power chord in your shot too. At Firstlight Photography all of our images receive the basic color and exposure corrections but we also do a lot of other editing you might not notice (which means we have done our job). Aside from aesthetic changes, see if you can find the missing objects in the AFTER image. In addition to “erasing” several objects, the post production work involved a layering, vignette and other techniques that we like to experiment with for that perfect album photo or canvas print.
Firstlight Photography loves its babies! And we love doing birth announcements for you. As part of your maternity/baby packages, we can customize your birth announcements. We shoot action sports photography but we do love to bring our athletes into the studio. Michael is a very dedicated Tae Kwon Do student so his parents wanted to have a studio session to show off his moves.
Congratulations on your achievements Michael – we’re very proud of you!!!!
