Here is a sneaky peek at our latest post from our wedding blog. We met up with Joplin Designz and Wanna Cupcake and had a meeting of the wedding vendor minds. Hop on over to the Firstlight Photography Wedding Blog for the full skinny on these amazing (and local) vendors.
Summer is our favorite time of the year. We can never put the cameras down – especially during family time. Here are our animals uncaged for the day. If you want to book a child session give our website a visit! We like to shoot them in their natural habitat. It makes for happier kids and better pics.
Alex and Nichole have set sail for their honeymoon cruise and we are editing their photos. This Fort Worden wedding is just magic to us. We love their images and they were amazing to work with. Happy honeymoon you two! We will have the photos done upon your return! Their wedding will also be featured in the On the Go Bride Blog!
We met Alex and Nichole at the South Sound Wedding Show at the beginning of the year. Here is a sneak peek at their wedding from this weekend. They were married at Fort Worden State Park – which also happens to be where parts of the movie “An Officer and a Gentleman” was filmed. It truly is an amazing location. Alex and Nichole are a fabulous couple with amazing family and friends.
What a lovely day. Congratulations to you both! More to come!

John and Adrienne had an amazing rustic chic barn wedding in the family orchard in Selah, WA. We loved the vintage feel and the attention to detail. Comfortable elegance at its best. More rustic chic weddings to come at Firstlight Photography!
Alex and Nichole are getting married soon and we are lucky enough to get to shoot their wedding in Port Townsend, WA. We met them at the West Sound Wedding Show in Bremerton earlier this year. Here are a few more engagement pics on the beach.
Here is a sneak peek at a recent engagement shoot in Tacoma.
Here are a few photos from Dan and Megin’s Pickering Barn rustic chic barn wedding. One of our favorite parts was the nacho cheese fountain. It was so kitschy yet so darn tasty. We also loved all of the rustic wedding ideas including the candles in mason jars and sprigs of fresh lavender that adorned each table. The favor was an empty candy bag. The kids and adults had a great time filling these at the old fashioned candy bar.
One of the bridesmaids had just graduated that day and was off to India the next morning. We did see her dancing and enjoying the photo booth but she also buckled down and graded college papers at the reception! What dedication.
